Personal Perfume
"A personal perfume made with natural ingredients is much more than a simple fragrance; it's a unique olfactory signature for each individual, a mirror of the soul. Flowers and plants, in general, possess an intelligence that allows us to communicate with them. They have medicinal virtues and emotional effects. Their symbolism, signature, and spirit act deeply on a person, resonating with their inner balance and life energy.
Since antiquity, the therapeutic powers of plants have been used empirically. In every plant, there are four elements: earth, air, water, and fire, which, as the great medieval phytotherapist Hildegard of Bingen reminds us, 'are inextricably linked together in all its parts but to varying degrees.' The intertwining of these four elements in the plant determines its point of strength, its 'signature.' The analogy between a part of the plant and an organ or function of the human body that it could heal was later established by the famous physician and alchemist Paracelsus. Forgotten for many decades in industrialized societies, the medicinal properties of plants and essential oils are now scientifically established, thanks to the work of Dr. Jean Valnet. As historian and anthropologist Annick le Guérer recalls, perfume was the first remedy, and after a period of discredit, it is making a strong comeback in healthcare."
